Views from The Garret...

I thought that you might like to see these photographs of my new bedroom/studio/office space at my mum's house. I'm moving a lot of my stuff this weekend, and then I'll move in properly (along with my art equipment) next weekend. Anyway, the little room is coming along nicely, and I'm making it feel a cosy and inspiring place in which to work. I'll post more photos when it's finished. :)

The color is so pretty and calming. How cozy :)

It is very cozy. I was conversatin' (:) ) with my girlfriend about space (we live in an area where cozy old homes are being torn down & being replaced by giant insta-McMansions) & how American's obsession with/for more, more!, MORE!! now includes space- we seem to have to have so much more than we actually need.
The only thing I don't like about your room is how neat & clean it is (because I'm jealous). I judge the cleanliness in my room by the size of the most recent clutter bomb explosion.

A-ha. It's only neat and clean because I'm not actually using it yet. :D

Just wait a couple of weeks and then see what state it's in! Actually, I'm going to have to keep it fairly tidy and organised because it's such a small space and it could easily become cluttered and messy.

Can't wait to get my easel in there though!
