I've had a bit of a difficult weekend - some not very nice stuff to deal with on Friday, and then late on Friday night I started to feel ill, and spent all day yesterday feeling absolutely terrible. I was unable to do anything, which is a shame as I had a nice afternoon with a friend planned (which I had to cancel) and I couldn't get to the Post Office to send off the orders from the shop this week either. I spent the entire day on the sofa or in bed, which isn't as nice as it sounds.
Anyway, I realised that even though I've been showing the new peacock painting off left, right, and centre, I hadn't actually posted him on the blog yet! So here he is for those of you who follow the blog...

The reason I'm showing just a small detail of the painting here is because I can only show images up to 450 pixels in width on the blog, and as this is quite a large piece in reality with a lot of detail, I'd prefer you to see the larger image on my Flickr page. If you'd like to see the whole painting just click on the link above! This was a commissioned piece, part of a set of four paintings I'm working on at the moment. He's the first peacock I've ever painted and he was a tricky little critter to get right! But now I've painted one, I want to paint more. Watch this space...
