As I'm working on a completely new collection of paintings this Summer, I decided that it was time to start a new notebook too. I bought a Fabriano A5 dotted grid notebook in an aubergine/plum colour from Geant des Beaux Arts here in Paris. This afternoon I grabbed a pen, and in a few minutes, jotted down all of the ideas (subjects, colours, techniques) that came immediately to mind.
I love the feeling of starting afresh in a new notebook and I know I'll add many more ideas to this list in the coming weeks, as well as simple sketches and drawings. Maybe I'll share the contents of my notebook again when there's more to share...

I would also like to share a new original painting on canvas I finished the other day. I had a feeling that the time was right to revisit my older forest paintings, but I wanted to somehow change them slightly and add some new details and elements. I think my boyfriend described it best when he said to me that this new forest (and there will be more - I'm working on a larger one now!) has more movement and fluidity than the previous forests, due to the delicate white trees in the background. It still has that certain starkness to it, but somehow there's more life. To me, it's like a forest from a dream. I hope you like it too.
