New Silk Scarf

Another little purchase (I seem to be all about accessories recently)...

This time it's from Etsy vintage store Capricious Traveler. Here's a photo of me wearing the scarf, taken in the studio today...

Aside from scouting around on Etsy and buying beautiful things, I'm hard at work on new paintings for my upcoming solo show in October, so there will be more art coming soon, I promise!

A little purchase...

I wanted to share this with you - I bought this necklace last night on Etsy from the shop White Owl. They are currently the 'featured sellers' on the front page of Etsy (which is where I found them), a much-deserved opportunity which I hope brings them even more success!

Hand dyed grey lace accented with semi-precious korean jade beads and antiqued brass chain.

It's not often I see something that I just have to have, but I couldn't bear the thought of anyone else getting their hands on this one! Elegant and beautiful - not to mention a little vintage and arty - I love it!

Some Orla Kiely Loveliness

I went Christmas shopping in Norwich yesterday - on the lookout for gifts for my family as well as something special for myself. I've worked really hard this year, sales have been excellent, and just lately I've been going through an incredibly rough time personally, so I decided it was time for a treat. I found most of the clothes in the shops yesterday to be totally uninspiring, so to my disappointment I didn't end up buying any of them. But while I was there, I did see some wonderful Orla Kiely bags in one of the department stores. I fell in love with one design in particular, but didn't want to make a decision there and then as it was kind of expensive and I needed to think about it. So I looked up her website when I got home, found the beautiful bag in question, and finally bought it this morning! I've adored her designs for years, so I'm pleased to be able to buy something after all this time. Yay!
